An excursion is a short trip or journey undertaken by a group of people for purposes such as leisure, education and recreation. An excursion to Nandi Hills was organized by Regional College of Management, Bangalore on the 26th of August, 2025 to provide a refreshing escape from the regular hustle and bustle. As a break from academic activities and routine life, the excursion aimed at learning from nature. Nature has much to offer in terms of learning to live in balance with natural rhythms and cycles, reminding us of our interdependence on the environment and showing how undue stress can be curbed.
The primary purpose of the excursion was learning beyond classrooms and reconnecting with nature. Located approximately 60 km from Bengaluru, Nandi Hills unveils a panoramic view and transports you to a world where time seems to stand still and the burden of pressure melts away. The students were divided into groups and taken to different spots where they were taught to embrace the harmony and offerings of the environment. In a calm and soothing place, where nothing but peace was offered, the students felt energetic and enthusiastic after spending more than half of the day there. What an amazing experience it was! Experiential learning filled with fun, excitement and laughter can truly be found at RCMB. Waiting to explore more of nature’s timeless marvels!
